If you don’t feel like cooking but still want to use up some leftovers, reheating food in the microwave is a great alternative as it’s quick and easy. It’s easy to get frustrated when you have to wait for one item after another to finish heating before you can put the next one in the oven. This method allows you to cook two different recipes at the same time.
After placing the first plate on the microwave turntable, remove the plate and set it aside. Place a microwave-safe mug upside down next to it. It’s totally acceptable to put another dish on top if you so desire. The microwave has enough power to heat both foods on the plate, even if they are close together.
