Mr. T is an American actor and a retired professional wrestler. He is famous for his African Mandinka warrior style, wearing gold chains and braces. Born as Laurence Tero Tureaud, he was born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 21, 1952. His biggest break was when he was cast as the opponent of Sylvester Stallone is Rocky lll as Clubber Lang after he was spotted on television on a bouncer competition.
In 1995, he was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma. Because of this health issue, he limited his TV appearances. He regained his remissions in 1999 at the age of 49. But he was still able to have his reality TV show “I Pity the Fool,” which lasted for six episodes. He also voices Officer Earl Devereaux in the animated movie Cloud with a Chance of Meatballs. For now, he is enjoying his retirement by living luxuriously, spending his time between his houses in Illinois and Albuquerque.
