Gladys Knight has earned the name Empress of Soul because of her mellifluous voice and is arguably one of the probably the best vocalists ever. She completely deserves the name as she has a novel voice and has exemplary performing skills.
Gladys’s lovely voice got a heart in the ’60s and ’80s as a lead vocalist of the group Gladys Knight and the Pips. This band was a collaboration with her sibling and cousins.
She is now seventy years of age and rocking the age with her extraordinary dynamism and grace. She is still active as she is part of the 2019’s The Masked Singer as Bee and secured the third position. Just goes to show retirement does not figure in her dictionary yet! Here’s hoping she continues to enthrall us with her charming persona and her lovely voice.
