She is famous for being the lead singer of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, a popular band. Her hit numbers include “Crimson and Clover”, “Bad Reputation”, “I Hate Myself for Loving You”, and “Dirty Deeds”. Out of all the songs she churned out, it was “Up Your Alley” that received multiple platinum certifications.
People identified with her singing skills since the time she wowed everyone during her college programs. She is 60 now and has turned vegetarian owing to her love for animals and has joined hands with PETA to promote vegetarianism. She is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee for the class of 2015, and rightfully so, we say!
