These Beloved Stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age Are Still Alive And Enjoying Life In Retirement
Howard Platt – 1938
Howard Platt is most popular as Officer Hopkins from the NBC sitcom Sanford And Sons from the 1970s. However, he has also appeared in other television series like M*A*S*H, The Bob Newhart Show, Evening Shade, and more. He also featured in star-studded hits like The Rock, where he acted alongside Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage. He was versatile enough to play 5 different roles in the American sitcom Barney Miller.
Several opportunities came his way, and he made multiple comedic and dramatic appearances in films and TV shows, carving out a niche for himself. Platt eventually retired in 2008 but made a come back in 2017 to perform in a small role in the movie called The Hippopotamus. A stable bank account would surely ease things for him. We hope he is living his retired life in peace and maintains enough investments that will help him pay all his bills and live a good life as well.
