As you see, you win some or you lose some, we pity the man in the middle who perhaps has set his designs to marry this lady from his uni days, but never quite had the courage to pop the question. And the lady chose this man as he cried unhappy tears sitting on the fence.
We see the man looking wistfully at his once lady love and perhaps wishing that he was in the man’s place, but then it is useless wishing. The groom had swept his lady love from right under his nose. Poor man, he now has to set his sights elsewhere.
