With all the enthusiasm in the world, one guy decided to perform a classic cannonball dive into what he thought was a pool. Mid-air, everything looked perfect—until he landed with a thud on a solid surface. Surprise! The water was frozen solid. How did he not realize this before taking the plunge?
Was he attempting to be an icebreaker in the literal sense? The scene is pure comedy mixed with a bit of sympathy for his painful landing. For those curious, frozen bodies of water can reach thicknesses of several inches in the winter, strong enough to support a person’s weight. His cannonball attempt made him an unexpected star.
