Mark Zuckerberg – $59 Million, Lake Tahoe
Why buy a whole complex? If you’re a multi-billionaire like Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, it seems like a wise choice. In 2019, the tech giant purchased two side-by-side mansions on Lake Tahoe for a total of $ 59 million.
The Lake Tahoe neighbourhood is also home to the family of Bill Hewlett, founder of the late Hewlett-Packard, and the family of the late publishing icon Charles McClatchy.
The view from home may be worth this $ 59 million price tag.
Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan bought 10 properties in San Francisco, Palo Alto, the Hawaiian island of Kauai and of course Lake Tahoe. Interestingly, although the staff of housekeepers may seem like something out of Downton Abbey, there is actually still a market for housekeepers to live in vacant homes and help protect them.
