Tracy Austin – December 12, 1962
Tracy Austin has enjoyed being in the limelight as a top tennis star, and her accomplishments are famous even today. Austin is a former World No. 1 athlete in tennis. Over her successful tennis career, Austin landed two Grand Slam titles and a WTA Tour Championship title. She also bagged the mixed doubles title in 1980, for the Wimbledon Championships. She has many more accomplishments over her professional tennis years.
Unfortunately, Austin landed herself in a near-fatal car accident. Her injuries forced her to quit professional tennis for good, to the disappointment of many. Austin has since continued to earn plenty of money as she is a commentator for the N.B.C. and the U.S.A. Network. She has done a lot of coverage on sports, including the U.S. Open as well as the French Open. Austin is also involved with Canadian T.V. as a commentator.
