Belinda Jo Carlisle — August 17, 1958
Everyone remembers the epic musical hit Heaven Is a Place on Earth, and everyone remembers the gorgeous singer who sang it! Belinda, who’s now 60, hasn’t aged a day since the album was released, and it’s been 30 years since! Belinda started out her music career as a drummer but quickly became the lead singer of the all-female Go-Go’s band due to her incredible talent.
She is famous for the song Beauty and the Beat as well. The Go-go’s managed to see worldwide sales exceeding 7 million! The band dissolved in 1985 but Carlisle enjoyed a fruitful solo career. Carlisle’s received a much-deserved star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011 and is living out her days in retirement in the warm breezes of Bangkok, Thailand.
