The chick flick “Clueless” was a huge hit during the ’90s, partially because of the cast’s memorable getups. Nearly everybody has recreated Cher Horowitz’s iconic yellow blazer and skirt look, which remains a widespread costume choice.
In the film, Dionne, Cher’s best friend, slays with her outfits, too. Maybe that is why Lupita Nyong’o decided to dress up as the iconic character for the 2018 spooky season. The “Black Panther” star’s attention to detail was spot on, and she even brought a ’90s cellphone with her. In 2021, Nyong’o scaled it back with her look, as she became a banana.
